Moorlands Dog Rescue are a registered charity (number 1162918) and are run entirely by volunteers. They have no paid staff and are a non-profit making organisation. Moorlands Dog Rescue have been operating as a successful dog rescue charity for 4 years and are usually a foster based rescue with no kennels.


They specialise in the rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs from all over the country with many different backgrounds and breeds. Moorlands Dog Rescue will be responsible for selecting the dogs that are sent on to the Restart Dog Project as well as for their health and general welfare. They will of course be responsible for the associated costs that go along with that. This will include:

  • Contracting the external welfare reviewer

  • Health checks

  • Health Treatments

  • Neutering costs

  • Microchipping costs

  • Vaccinations

  • Flea treatments

  • Worm treatments

  • Dog Food

  • Enrichment toys and treats

  • Leads

  • Collars

  • Name tags

  • All other costs and veterinary care costs that occur when looking after dogs.
